My wife Valerie and I own several pieces of Mike’s work. He’s a meticulous and thoughtful craftsman with a wholly original style, but what I think we both like the most about his work is the sense of playfulness that permeates even his darkest pieces. No matter how serious a statement he may be making in his art, he always leaves room for fun. And where there’s fun, there’s hope.
